Strand 1 Raising Awareness

The various classroom activities we present below are planned and arranged so that teachers, with minimum effort and without adding to their weekly workload, can present them to class groups throughout the school year, increasing students' awareness about what bullying is and reinforcing the message that it is unacceptable and should be reported to adults.

This ongoing awareness raising programme helps develop in the school a culture of the three "R"s - where bullying is Recognised, Rejected and Reported to teachers. Any documents below may be downloaded, saved in a folder on your computer and then customised to your own school's needs (e.g. including your own school name and school crest as well as our logo) before printing them out and storing them in clear plastic pockets in a ring binder or folder ready for photocopying.
